MICHEL VERJUX: VOILES, DÉCOUPES, TRAVERSES

Michel Verjux est un artiste plasticien français actif depuis quarante ans dont le matériau principal est la lumière.

Son œuvre qui allie rigueur et simplicité consiste à utiliser la « théorie du projecteur » (Karl Popper) pour mettre en lumière les lieux dans lesquels il intervient.

À l’occasion des travaux menés en 2026 au rez-de-chaussée du musée qui vont reconfigurer l’accès à la terrasse et les circulations, l’invitation faite à Michel Verjux au premier étage du musée et sur la terrasse et le patio permettra au public par un éclairage singulier sur les murs nus, de revoir l’architecture du bâtiment sous un nouveau jour.

Michel Verjux is a French visual artist who has been active for forty years. His primary medium is light. His work, which combines rigour and simplicity, draws on Karl Popper’s “projector theory” to illuminate the spaces in which he intervenes. In conjunction with the renovations carried out in 2026 on the ground floor of the museum, reconfiguring access to the terrace and circulation areas, the invitation extended to Michel Verjux to the first floor of the museum and on the terrace and patio will allow the public, through his distinctive lighting on the bare walls, to see the architecture of

the building in a new light.
