Tatiana WOLSKA: Contre-temps
À l’occasion de Contre-temps, sa première exposition personnelle à la galerie Catherine Issert, Tatiana Woslka présentera du 15 février au 6 avril 2013 de nombreux dessins et sculptures inédits.
Ancienne étudiante de la Villa Arson, cette artiste polonaise vit à Nice depuis une dizaine d’années et travaille principalement à partir de rebus et d’éléments déclassés pour construire une pratique protéiforme. Ses œuvres se construisent par la répétition inlassable du même : guidée par le geste,Tatiana Wolska laisse à l’œuvre le temps de se construire, produisant ainsi un univers polysémique et organique. En se plaçant tout contre le temps,Tatiana Wolska se prémunit de la temporalité normée, marchande et frénétique que nous subissons au quotidien.

On the occasion of Contre-temps, her first solo exhibition at the Galerie Catherine Issert, from February 15th to April 6th, 2013,Tatiana Wolska will present original sculptures and drawings. Former student of Villa Arson's School, this Polish artist has lived in Nice for about ten years mostly and works with junk and discarded items to construct a protean procedure. Her works are built thanks to the tireless repetition of the same process : guided by gestures,Tatiana Wolska allows the work the time it needs to come into being, thus producing an organic and polysemous world. In taking this stance against Time,Tatiana Wolska protects herself from the frenzied and mercantile temporality that has become the norm to which we are subjected on a day-to-day basis.
